Ian Stewart: Always cheerful and chatty

Though no longer with Reuters, Ian Stewart came to the Reuters office in Hong Kong nearly every day, always cheerful and chatty, to file his stories under a special traffic arrangement with The New York Times.

He was twice president of the Hong Kong Foreign Correspondents' Club where he was also a popular entertainer.
