Perhaps it means something to hear straight from the horse's mouth that editor-in-chief Stephen Adler is rolling out a "culture-and-values training program" for journalists promoted to newsroom management jobs.

But the current platitudes in which the programme is garbed and current management's record - remember, this is the production team that brought to a multiplex near you the PIP Chainsaw Massacre, the Paul Ingrassia-Michael Stott Clash of the Titans, and The Expendables starring Jim Vicini and Glen Somerville - leaves one to wonder whether this is just one more announcement out of the other end of the horse's body. ■
