The time machine

I've known Fleet Street for more than 50 years from the day I first entered the Reuters building at 85. But I rarely looked up above street level as we rushed to various hostelries during breaks on World Desk. I was there the other day - and was exhorted to do so by a sign outside the church of St Dunstan-in-the-West (next to the old Dundee Courier building). They are appealing for funds to save the fantastic clock. What a treasure I never realised existed. It is like the campanile in Venice. Worth the price of a drink from old Reuter hands?
