The Thomson Reuters Foundation has teamed with non-commercial satellite television network Link TV to launch a documentary shorts series that will uncover under-reported stories.
Trust Docs (pictured) will aim to explore under-reported stories about critical social issues from across the globe through personal stories from individuals.
The 11-part series will cover such issues as the global push women defying cultural norms in an effort to find ways to pursue their dreams; the effects of Colombian civil war; the fight for refugee rights; struggles to adjust to climate change; the resilience of children in war and poverty; housing and land rights; global mental health; and changing gender identities.
Trust Docs is slated to premiere May 11 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on Link TV. It will also be made available for streaming and on Link TV’s Apple TV and Roku apps.
Elsewhere, Link TV is also preparing to launch Big Cities, a 10-part docuseries set to explore innovative solutions and the urban challenges for global megacities.
Each episode of the program features individuals bringing about significant change in urban planning, infrastructure and social issues in order to improve living conditions in populated urban areas.
The series debuts May 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
