Thomson Reuters hires digital chief, a new role

Thomson Reuters has created a new role of chief digital officer to help shape the group's digital strategy.

It has hired Joe Miranda (photo), who had the same role at Voya Financial, a US retirement planning business.

He joins on Monday in New York and will report to Neil Masterson, chief transformation officer.

“Joe will be responsible for helping us shape the Thomson Reuters digital strategy and the development of core digital capabilities,” chief executive James Smith announced. “He will work closely with our business teams to build a strong digital presence, making it easier for our customers to find, buy and get the most out of our products.” ■
