In Washington 'rejiggering' Ros Krasny finds 'no room at the inn'

Ros Krasny (photo), editor-in-charge of Reuters commodities, energy and companies news coverage in the US capital for the past two years, is leaving after 11 years of reporting from Chicago, Boston and Washington.

“I will depart Reuters in the next few days. In our imminent Washington bureau rejiggering there is, sadly, no room at the inn,” she said in a note to colleagues.

Krasny transferred to Washington in October 2012 after three years as Boston bureau chief. She described herself as “the player-coach of a team of reporters whose beats cover commodities, energy and certain companies news out of Washington”.

She added that, as Heidi Klum would say, “In fashion, one day you’re in and the next day you’re out.” ■
