Things new Reuters CEO Andrew Rashbass [Will The Economist’s success feed through to Reuters?] could look at include tightening the poor journalism on the Italian site and hastening a complete redesign of the Reuters website. The proposed version is as boring as the present one.
I have never heard of software problems at The Economist so maybe there’s talent to be imported there too. (OK, The Economist’s software footprint is far smaller than that of Reuters).
The Economist is very creative. Bearing in mind Einstein’s definition of creativity being “intelligence having fun”, there’s more room for that on the Reuters site too.
Yes, I’m biased - I’ve subscribed to The Economist for over 20 years. ■
