Chris Peterson: Great fun at work, greater fun at lunch

Very sorry to hear this. Chris was a close colleague of mine as news editor in Paris in the mid-1980s and we shared a lot of experiences covering the Mitterrand era. He was great fun to work with in the Franco-Brit environment of Reuters’ Paris office. He was even more fun over lunch (a quaint old custom, now largely abolished for journalists) in our favourite local restaurant run by two chefs who were brothers and were dab hands at the pommes rissolees. ■
