Cracking the States

I have to agree with our new boss [Reuters CEO suggests US is still a question mark]. We’ve always dreamed of cracking the States and my feeling has always been that it can’t be done unless you are US-owned. What we can do, and that’s exactly what The Economist did, is to make the most of every opportunity to tap this revenue without bending over backwards to produce content that is of no use to our much larger audience in the rest of the world. ■
