Data release

Wasn’t one of Julius Reuter’s basic principles that all paying customers get the information at the same time [Thomson Reuters suspends early release of key data]? I recall he had them all lined up in the Royal Exchange or Aachen station or wherever it was and then opened the telegram for all at once. You can see this is a good business strategy because as long as Reuters gets it first all his customers are ahead of the rest. Whereas stiffing some of your customers for $6,000 (!) a month from some others doesn’t seem like such a good idea. ■
