Dismay

As part of the HR organisation for most of my career in Reuters, I share the dismay of my colleagues that Reuters should align itself to this covenant. Reuters valued and hard-fought reputation for objectivity and independence depends on distancing itself from this or any other similar interest group. I cannot imagine why HR should be the Company’s mouthpiece in such an area, which seems to have nothing to do with its own employees. ■
