Dump the Covenant

I think we owe the editor of The Baron heartfelt thanks for drawing our attention to the inexplicable Thomson Reuters pledge to honour the UK armed forces. How else would we have known about it? The website has also given a platform to voice our outrage at this threat to the independence of the old firm and the danger it represents to reporters in the field. 

The worry now is the company's "review" of its decision is simply its way of kicking the ball into the long grass. There should only be one result of this review: the covenant must be dumped. ■
