Ernie's recollections from Laos

It was a joy to read Ernie Mendoza's recollections from Laos and Cambodia, and also a pleasant surprise as I recall most of my colleagues in London were quite reserved about sharing their experiences (some, including myself, were quite effusive to a fault!). Still, Ernie paints a picture that was both rich in detail and commonplace for so many journalists barreling through time and conflict with barely a moment to reflect personally on the experience. Well done, Ernie, and hopefully The Baron can draw out more of these reflections from and for its readers. ■
