Left hand, right hand?

It is ironic that Thomson Reuters should have fallen foul of the New York attorney general for failing to respect a change in US law regarding the treatment of same-sex married couples when it had publicly supported that very change while the issue was being considered by the Supreme Court. Perhaps, in a grand corporate tradition by no means unique to Thomson Reuters, this was a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand was doing? ■
