Mike Arkus - one of the best

Mike was terrific to work with, smart, witty, wonderfully irreverent. He and his pal Arthur Spiegelman will always be remembered and much missed. It’s not been much mentioned but Mike and Arthur were also highly principled. I saw first hand evidence of this when they stamped down certain misdemeanours that had emanated from other parts of the Reuters world at one point. They were very special people and brilliant journalists. ■
