Bias

The idea of an Op-Ed Editor is troubling for a news agency which earned its world reputation with accuracy and objectivity [Reuters’ first ‘op-ed’ editor jumps ship]. The act of choosing material is an act of bias. I write this as a veteran of 27 years as an overnight gatekeeper. ■
