PIP casualty

Jim’s farewell message mentions that Reuters was his “second job out of college”. Reflecting his sentiment in his farewell message about the “consummate professionals” he’s worked with, I had the “honor and privilege” to work with him during that first job of his, as well as at Reuters. I cannot remember a time when he acted as though he understood what it meant to be a “laggard” or to “under-perform”. We can only assume that editorial management doesn’t know what those words mean, either. ■
