RIP Victor

Victor Antonie was a talented, driven, inexhaustible TV producer, a key player in the transition from Visnews to Reuters TV. He was a star of a talented South Africa multimedia team that so successfully covered Nelson Mandela’s transition from prison to presidency. Victor was a terrier on a story, merciless against the opposition - while a fun-loving, loyal, supportive colleague. He and his family were a joyful part of the many team braiis we held to re-energise after endless news missions. Gone far too young, he will be sorely missed. Our hearts go out to Freddie and the rest of the family. RIP Victor ■
