Those of us who have left Reuters are indebted to Barry May for upholding the values that permeated the newsroom while we were there. Those still at Reuters, whether or not in news, owe him a debt of gratitude for training a spotlight on events, decisions and personalities that otherwise might have stayed in the shadows.

"There is life after Reuters," we have often heard said. Barry gave new meaning to the phrase by applying the skills he learned at the Baron to enlighten our global community. Thank you, Barry, for creating The Baron and for your years of service curating a site that represents the best of Reuters. ■
