“Good Lord. Another Wall Street Journal reject from Rupert’s stable.” 

- Most of the people to whom the author refers made their reputations as journalists at the WSJ when the Bancroft family controlled the newspaper, so it’s incorrect to say that they are from “Rupert’s stable.” 

“I rather think we can no longer refer to the Mother Ship as The Baron but instead we now seem to have become The Wall Street Journal Lite.”

- I don't know to what end or whether the author proposes a solution to a perceived problem. As for me, I’m as proud to work here now as I was before any one of these people joined. ■
