The weaker kid

I could not agree more with Barry Moody’s view of the dire situation that Reuters has got itself in, though nothing surprises me less. I left Reuters in 1998 and joined Thomson for about 18 months. I witnessed both cultures and indeed there is nothing wider than the gap between these two entities and their approach to business and to people. There was a certain complementarity but no synergies whatsoever. Too bad for the weaker kid. ■
