Tony Cornish

To those of us non-engineers involved in the early days of computerised services in Reuters, the Stockmaster and Videomaster, Tony Cornish was the ideal colleague to have. In times of difficulties he would calm nerves by his air of quiet competence, and he would answer our questions and explain the systems with great patience and gentle humour. We had some great times, helping to pioneer the new Reuters. Tony was a gentleman, fun to be with, and one of those people you are always pleased to meet again, who puts a smile on your face. He will be much missed. ■
