Decline expected for Thomson Reuters Q3 earnings

Analysts are looking for decreased profit for Thomson Reuters when the company reports its results for the third quarter on Tuesday, Forbes reported on Friday.

Thomson Reuters reported profit of 54 cents a year ago, but the consensus estimate calls for earnings per share of 44 cents this time around.

Despite not changing over the past month, the consensus estimate is down from three months ago when it was 45 cents. Analysts are projecting earnings of $1.84 per share for the fiscal year. Analysts look for revenue to decrease three per cent year-over-year to $3.12 billion for the quarter, after being $3.22 billion a year ago. For the year, revenue is projected to roll in at $12.66 billion. ■
