Barry May re-elected an RPF trustee

Barry May, founder, editor and publisher of The Baron, has been re-elected a member-nominated trustee of Reuters Pension Fund, Electoral Reform Services said on Thursday.

May, pictured, a former deputy managing editor of Reuters, polled 954 votes in the month-long ballot that closed yesterday. Geoffrey Sanderson, the only other candidate, received 321 votes. One in five of the 6,353 RPF members eligible to vote participated in the poll. Of those taking part, 844 RPF members cast their votes by post and 433 online. Two votes were found to be invalid.

The election followed completion of May’s first four-year term as a member-nominated trustee. Three of the Fund’s seven trustees are chosen by members. Four others are appointed by Thomson Reuters. ■
