Barry, the friend I never met

It is so unusual to be touched so deeply by the departure of someone I had never met, although we exchanged emails every now and then; the last one was a few months ago when I was asking him about his health.

Barry did a tremendous job at bringing back together people from different horizons and backgrounds, whether retired or still on active duty, who have dedicated their lives so that Reuters prospers and that their pride of belonging to it keeps on growing. I am so grateful to him for what he has accomplished with a rare altruism and dedication.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
