Bob Taylor - or friendly Warren McGuire

Bob was one of the first people I got to know from Reuters when I went to Brussels in 1973 to work for the Bulletin, a local English-language news weekly. Like many in the Reuters office, Bob freelanced for us, writing a regular financial column under the name of Warren McGuire. His copy was always a dream, written to exactly the right length and never requiring changes. He was generous, friendly and approachable, ever ready to help with tips and guidance when he visited our office. My sincerest condolences to his family. ■
