Bob Taylor: Sanity at the circus

I'd like to join the tributes to Bob Taylor after the very sad news of his death. Most of those tributes have commented on Bob's considerable skills as a journalist but he also spent time as a senior and highly valued member of European management. During the period we worked together he was a good friend and a trusted colleague with a sense of humour which eased some of the more stressful moments.

I remember when we organised a meeting in Stockholm of the Reuter Board, which included some fractious and difficult members. Bob's witty one-liners, delivered in that Aberdeen accent, kept some of us sane during the circus!

He will be greatly missed. ■
