You can apply Shelley's poetic lament to atrocities committed on Reuters by the Thomson family's henchmen, the latest being an editor (storytelling, yet) whose greeting-card mantras include ‘Don't rush’ (yeah right).

We know already the barbarians have stormed through the gates. Now they have seized the castellations, pouring boiling oil on bewildered survivors. Oh, and that hammering sound from the dungeons? Merely the last nails going into the coffin of a news agency where the School of Rush was once its news lifeblood. Alas. ■
