Great photo editor

After joining the Colombo office of Reuters on 31 March 1992 the first great photo editor I met was Rob Taggart. I still admire his ingenuity in recognising people’s abilities, talents and moods. He was able to hold me twice when I tried to quit due to the unbearable professional pressure in the early days of joining the service. I humbly recall that it was because of him that my career in the Reuters news service flowed from then until 2009. ■
