Jack Hartzman

What can one add to all the heartfelt and well-deserved tributes to such a great journalist? Perhaps a personal reminiscence. In my years as a Reuter correspondent in the 1960s and particularly after the introduction of the ADX, the initials JH on rewrites of my copy were the only ones I never minded. However good I thought a story was, any changes Jack made always improved it. ■
