Likewise at Aachen

Michael Nelson’s observations about Reuters virtual absence from the Information Age Gallery in the London Science Museum mirror a similar situation in Aachen, which is arguably the spiritual birthplace of the news agency. The International Newspaper Museum there, which has recently been remodelled as a Multimedia Museum, has scant reference to Reuters. DPA has a far larger presence. Still, nothing underlines Reuters absence more than the new Bloomberg European Headquarters rising in the heart of the City of London, an impressive building close to Mansion House, the Bank of England, the Royal Exchange and Rothschild, which is scheduled to open for business next year. ■
