Odd dates

Re the item Thomson Reuters Celebrates 150 years: 10 early innovation items, I hope I am not being obtuse, but I found it not a little odd to read that Thomson Reuters was celebrating this milestone in 2022. I thought the company was founded in 1851, and that the merger with Thomson was in 2008.

Even more odd to learn in the same piece of all those innovations, none of which appeared to have any relation to Reuters. Nor indeed did the name Reuters appear anywhere else but the headline.

Was the writer of the piece as carried in The Baron thinking of two other companies? ■
