Olympic Games

You would think that if a Thomson Reuters employee was chosen to carry the torch [Reuters sports editor runs with Olympic torch] there would be a nice feature on reuters.com, or at least a mention, right? Perhaps a little video clip, even? Nothing. Zip. Nada. Not even through a search.

You have to go over to the BBC for coverage of the Guernsey torch relay. I am a bit disappointed in Reuters coverage so far, no build-up like the BBC are doing, no timeline. Looks like a website framework waiting for the actual start day to start populating data. Medal table? Come on. No spectator involvement or reporting, which is the current stage of the games after all. ■
