OK, let me get this straight: TR’s global sports editor, whose team in Beijing won awards for coverage, has been bounced from leading the team to cover the London games after he called for 73 text staffers [Reuters drops top sports editor from Olympics team]. Top brass wanted 40 text staffers with editing to be done in Bangalore. But now there’s a new Olympic jefe, and the number of text staffers is up to 80, with editing to be done in London.
