Let me get this straight. Paul Radford, someone I know and have the utmost respect for, suggested a sensible way to cover the Olympics, based on years of experience and the fact he was on the IOC Press Commission [Reuters drops top sports editor from Olympics team]. His boss overruled him and appointed someone else, who ditched the ridiculous Bangalore suggestion and reverted to Paul’s plan. As a result, Stuart Karle was disciplined. Er, sorry, that was Paul who was disciplined. Er, shome mishtake, surely. What is going on??? ■
