Very old truths

I think the criticism of Alessandra Galloni for reiterating some of the basic fundamentals of Reuters reporting are misplaced. These are statements of the underlying principles we have adhered to since Baron Julius began - to a new audience. For the present Reuters generation - grappling with the likes of Twitter, social media, 24-hour rolling news, fake news, ever-advancing technology - it is no bad thing to be reminded of those fundamentals of speed, accuracy, impartiality however they are clothed in PR speak. ■
