Roger Jeal: Always cool, collected and smiling

Many Reuterians were exceptional journalists, but some had notoriously terrible personalities and were difficult to get along with. Some were absolutely awful man managers and bullies.

Roger Jeal was the exact opposite of all that.

I worked with him in Paris and London, and found him to be an exceptionally nice man and good comrade, always cool, collected and smiling. I miss him. ■
