Without Doreen, Allan would not have coped

There is little I can add to the well-deserved tributes to Allan, the great journalist and friend to so many colleagues - except perhaps one thing. Allan was fortunate in his latter years of ill health to have the love and support of his wife Doreen. He would not have coped without her. ■
