Maureen Laurie elected a Reuters Pension Fund trustee

Maureen Laurie, formerly Reuters' corporate personnel manager, has been elected a member-nominated trustee of Reuters Pension Fund.

Electoral Reform Services, which conducted the election, said on Thursday she gained 697 of 1,100 valid votes counted. Marion Leslie, Thomson Reuters’ global head of instrument and pricing content, won 403 votes. Some 18.1 per cent of 6,094 RPF members eligible to vote took part in the election.

Laurie becomes one of three RPF trustees nominated by its members. Four others, including the chairman, are appointed by the company.

The election arose from the resignation of Peter Fanning, who served two four-year terms as a trustee since retiring as Reuters’ pensions manager in 2000. ■
