Obituary: Graeme Ramsey

A graduate trainee who joined Reuters in 1986, he spent four years in Singapore in the late 1990s as technical director for Asia Pacific and when he took early retirement in 2018 was Thomson Reuters global head of content acquisition and rights management. In that role he was accountable for the procurement of all third-party content included in the products and services of the merged company’s financial and risk division, later sold to private equity investors and rebranded as Refinitiv and now owned by the London Stock Exchange.

Ramsey served as a company-appointed trustee of Reuters Pension Fund from January 2009 until the end of 2021. ■
