Mary misses the Baron's Bash

This year's Baron's Bash was different in one important respect: Mary Norsworthy, who founded the annual event in 2008, was absent due to illness.

The wife of former correspondent and editor Rick Norsworthy has been in hospital for most of the time since last year’s lunch for former staff members of Reuters editorial and their partners.

More than 60 people who gathered at the Dulwich and Sydenham Hill Golf Club in southeast London joined in wishing her well and looked forward to her rejoining them at the tenth Bash next year. In her absence, this year’s event was organised by Mary Levycky, Lesley Saltmarsh and Jeremy Toye. ■
