Bob Taylor - European Commission tribute

This statement was read out at the daily midday briefing by the spokeswoman of the European Commission today: 

"Bob Taylor recently passed away at the age of 77.

“Bob was a familiar face in Brussels, and here in the press room, both as Reuters bureau chief in the 70s but also as a correspondent for The Economist for 20 years. Bob was well-regarded for his professional attitude and appreciated both as a colleague and as a friend. I’m also told that the appreciation must also be extended for his work behind the bar at the annual press revue that many of you attend." ■
