Chris Peterson kept up the Paris bureau tradition of serious lunching

Chris was a lovely colleague and friend in the Paris bureau in the early 80s. He was down-to-earth and sensible when some of us would take ourselves a little seriously. And, as others have noted, he was a bon vivant who joyously kept up the bureau tradition of serious lunching. His accomplice on that front was the late Louis Marcerou, a very longstanding Paris staffer. I have happy memories of Chris and Mai's hospitality and at their Paris home. ■
