F1 sponsorship dates from Reuters dot.com glory days

Wow, what continuity! I remember negotiating this sponsorship in 1999 in Reuters' dot.com glory days, and managing the relationship for the first two years. I thought the world was constantly changing, but apparently not. Thomson Reuters is still in there after 15 years and Frank Williams is still in charge. Jenson Button was "our" first driver at age 19, and he's still around too.

Frank told me his first contact with Reuters was as a young man calling in motor racing results, and being told by the Reuters journalist he spoke to they were not interesting enough and he didn't need to call again. 

Good to see Williams on the podium again. Vrmm, vrmm! ■
