François and frogs' legs

When François Duriaud was posted to New Delhi as Reuters chief correspondent the big question among World Desk editors was how a Frenchman would perform in a posting that had largely been the preserve of British journalists. 

He soon showed his nose for a good story. One of his first features out of India was about the lucrative export of frogs’ legs to France and the gourmet restaurants of Europe. ■
