John Jessop’s rather gloomy analysis of the Blackstone deal is spot on. This probably is the beginning of the last chapter of the sequel to Breaking News: How the Wheels Came Off at Reuters that Barry Simpson and I never wrote, and it is the direct result of Thomson Reuters not being able to match up to Bloomberg. ■
