Reuters Germany editor-in-chief moves to communications consultancy

Reuters’ long-standing editor-in-chief in Germany, Olaf Zapke (photo), is moving to become managing director of communications and strategy consultancy Hering Schuppener in Frankfurt.

He joins the agency in the newly-created role this August.

As Reuters’ editor-in-chief for Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Balkans, general manager Europe and managing director for Germany since 2018, Zapke has nearly three decades of experience in the media industry. He started his career as a correspondent with Deutsche Presse-Agentur. ■
