Tim Arlott, a good friend and fun companion

Tim Arlott is one of the great Reuters personalities, hugely admired by colleagues and clients alike. He was one of the many superb assets Reuters accrued when it took over Visnews. His deep knowledge of the TV business and his unrivalled network of contacts around the world ensured Reuters always took centre stage at any customer event. But above all, Tim was a good friend and fun companion. I will always appreciate his invaluable support and advice when I became editor of Reuters TV. A friend in need indeed! Enjoy your retirement, Tim. You will be missed. ■
